Dr. Sumeya BEDRANE is Professor at the Chemistry Dpt of the University of Tlemcen, and Researcher at the Laboratory of Catalysis and Synthesis in Organic Chemistry. She obtained her Master’s Degree from the University of Poitiers, France, in 1999. From 2000 to 2002, she carried out her research work in the Laboratory of Catalysis in Organic Chemistry LACCO (IC2MP nowadays), Poitiers University where she obtained her PhD in December 2002. In 2003, she started a teaching/research career at the University of Tlemcen, Algeria. In the same year, she joined the Laboratory of Catalysis and Synthesis in Organic Chemistry LCSCO where she is the Head of the Team "Catalysis by Metals" since 2008. She obtained her University Habilitation to supervise Research in 2007. In 2009, she moved to UPMC, Sorbonne Universities, Paris as an invited Senior Researcher during 6 months in the Laboratory of Surface Reactivity.
She is Reviewer for various international journals (Elsevier, RSC, Taylor and Francis, Springer).
She is an elected member of the Chemistry Department Scientific Committee (2010-2013 and 2015-2018).
Since 2015, she is an elected member of the University Board of Trustees.
